I was introduced to Yoga at the age of 20, but moving in all the ways that Yoga has me move and the quiet space of meditation were no strangers to me. I grew up in beautiful Princeton Massachusetts at the foot of Wachusett Mountain and spent countless hours of my childhood sitting in quiet reflection and communion with the natural world around me. Meditation and meditation in motion are what delight me most in life. I began an in depth Yoga training practice in 1996 and continue to this day. I taught my first students, my Mom and Dad in their dining room in 1998 and in March 1999, I recieved my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Kripalu Yoga. I continued to train for the next decade-plus, in Anusara Yoga. I also have training in Iyengar, Kundalini, Color Me Yoga, Yin Yoga and many other disciplines. My teaching has morphed over the past 25 years. I began training more in-depth in therapeutics, in 2009. Since then, I have learned from many gifted teachers in the fields of Yoga therapeutic practices, Ball work, massage, Anatomy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong,. I began Ballwork practices in 2011. I was instantly sold on the benefits of Ballwork. I couldn't get enough of it and I incorporated balls into all of my yoga classes. I continue to train and learn new Ballwork practices from my talented teacher and friend, Ellen Saltonstall. To me, life is a sacred Journey and the Body, in its many forms (physical, mental, energetic) is an exquisite, fascinating Universe unto itself. It excites me so much to share in the exploration of our humanness potential together with friends. I also work as a Gardner and love to grow all manner of foods and flowers at my home and for others. |
